Hi, I’m Eric Rhodes.
I created this blog to share things I’ve learned along the way—tips, ideas, and solutions related to SharePoint, Nintex, process automation, and building practical business applications. Most of what I write comes from being in the trenches—figuring out how to automate real business processes, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions that actually work in the real world. This isn’t high-level theory or marketing fluff; it’s practical, hands-on knowledge gained from building and supporting systems day in and day out. My goal is to help fellow developers solve problems faster and build better solutions.
I’ve always been drawn to one thing throughout my career: building solutions that make people’s work easier.
I’m currently a Senior Developer at Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. There I design and develop applications that help teams automate processes, manage information, and get work done more efficiently. Since 2005, much of my work has centered around the Microsoft SharePoint platform and building business solutions using tools like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Nintex Automation Cloud, Nintex Forms, and Salesforce.
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to design and implement custom solutions for organizations across many industries—education, healthcare, finance, law, manufacturing, nonprofits, and more. These projects have ranged from employee onboarding systems and contract approval workflows to help desk platforms, procurement systems, incident tracking, event registration, and mobile business forms.
What I enjoy most is taking a complicated process and turning it into something simple, reliable, and easy for people to use.
I grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and graduated from the University of Alabama—so naturally I’m a lifelong fan of Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Living in the Atlanta area also means I spend a lot of time cheering for the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, and Atlanta Falcons.
My biggest joy is spending time with my wife and our two sons. I’m also a big fan of movies, sports collectibles, card and board games, trivia, and gaming on the Xbox.
